Endo,
Like you I was a city boy. But, I was so poor that owning or being around horses was a far off dream.
Instead I went to the local YMCA and practiced Judo (a friend gave me my first gi) until I eventually
became a third degree black belt (san dan).
To make a long story short, as an adult my daughter got me into horses. After being a firefighter for
many years I finally was able to afford them.
Several years ago my daughter's appendix (jumper) was not responding to traditional training so my
wife and daughter attended a Parelli (I know how you feel but hear me out) seminar. They brought
home the whole works. I became curious and began to watch the DVD's and tried it on our horses. I
also began to watch ALL the other clinicians on TV as if I was going to college. Since then I have
picked out from each clinician what works and works fast. I've been successful in riding horses that had
bucked off everybody who placed their butt on them. I can help horses trailer on their own in minutes. I
have been shortening my colt starting time. The last colt I started was a two year old quarter horse that
was barely halter trained. Yes, he had his gonads! From the time he entered the round pen to his first
step with me on his back it took fifty five minutes (an eternity compared to you). I always lay them down
but what I learned from you is to lay them down FIRST and skip the dance. You're a genius!!!!! I always
knew the concept of gaining respect by laying them down but I danced with the horse (not aimless
round penning to get them tired) by getting them to yield to pressure before I attempted to ride them.
I also like that you do not require a round pen. Perhaps some day I'll become good enough to start a
TB in the middle of a hundred acre pasture. You have blown me away!!!
I like the respect you show the horses while you train them. I also realize that in the racing industry TIME
IS MONEY so you can't play around. You are not an entertainer like some of the clinicians have
become. So far you have nothing to sell. What you do and do VERY well is start racing horses and fix
the ones that act up. You do it fast and humanely. No fluff. No bull. I like your "pink bad boy" style as well
as your humor. I disagree in some minor points about NH. No system is absolutely perfect.
I'm in my mid fifties and don't have time to waste either. Having been an athlete all my life I can tell that
my body is not fit for bronc riding any more. Getting respect from the colt early in the training session is
less stressful (as you showed in the heart rate charts) on the horse and the rider.
In South Florida, USA where I live, there are race tracks that open in the winter. Just to the north in
Central Florida is Ocala with a thriving TB breeding and training industry. One of your VELCRO BUTT
centers would do well here. Unfortunately, you couldn't have found a more remote place to live. Our
summers are brutally hot but our winters are sunny and warm. This might be a nice place to expand
your Hybrid Horsemanship while everybody freezes in Hokkaido. Think about it and let me know if
you're interested.

wow wow wow thank you so much Paul , I took your advice and had the best ride ever on a 2yr old if
any one gives you any lip about your style have them call me I`ll do the rope a dope on them. The owner
was their today he is a doctor and the filly did give a little hard time at first so after she got her mind
together . I asked the doc if I could her take out to the large field he unlocked the gate ,and told me ,
she has never been out of her pasture, when he opened the gate she was hesitant , but I clucked to her
and off we went past all the farm equipment and into the fields , we walked then we troted and we
cantered what a great ride she was so relaxed and I had power steering it was great ......... and the doc
was really happy ........ and I told him all about you and the advice you gave me........... THANK YOU

I just finished watching all of your youtube videos and frankly, I am AMAZED. The work that you do is
awesome! It is so refreshing to see someone who actually takes the time to work with horses that most
other people would just give up on, and over here in the states most of those horses would have been
straight to slaughter. I wish that there were more people around here just like you...do you have
students that you train to follow in your footsteps? I can't believe the crazy things that you did on those
horses! I admire you so much and I hope that I hear back from you soon!
...........................................................................................................................
Hi Paul and thanks for a very informative web site and videos. I came upon it by chance but sure am
glad I did. You won me over completely after I read your "final approach" under "my approach". I train
horses in the Southwest corner of New Mexico in the good ol' USA. You won't believe how many
people here still subscribe to the theory that you have to hurt the horse before it hurts you. Am trying to
change some of that.
Your method is the most innovative and unique I have ever seen, thinking back I came close to it a few
times but that was unknowingly and unwittingly. When your dvd is ready I will be first in line to buy a
copy, keep me advised (do you keep an email list of potential clients?).
Thanks for caring and thanks for being a horseman!
Nothing but the best!
.............................................................................................................................
I am betting it is YOU who is the "mystery" trainer included with Chris Cox, Tommy Garland and Ken
McNabb in Murfreesboro, Tennessee tomorrow for the Road to the Horse challenge. At least I am
hoping it is you. If I can find more hints lending truth to my suspicion, I just may have to spend $25 for
the pay-per-view Webcast. I did not see confirmation yet on your site, but I will keep reading.
I've watched your videos over and over again over the past year or so, since I found you on youtube.
You are nothing less than phenominal. You remind me much of myself in my youth. There was no
horse on the farm my Grandfather could keep me off of, so he sent me at age 17 to a professional
trainer with my 2yo colt to learn to train.
About the same size as you, I rode and trained for years until a wiley mare broke my femur 3 places a
year or so ago. I nearly died when the bone marrow entered my lung. It was a long recovery, but I was
very lucky it was only the femur. Now I am afraid, mostly due to my geriatric age. But, I can still watch
you.
Good-golly, if it is you in Tennessee tomorrow, I will kick myself for a very long time wishing I had been
there to watch you live.
Now I just raise a few Quarter Horses
If, in fact, it is you in the Road to the Horse tomorrow, my money is on YOU! Please let me know when
you have a "Hybrid Center" located anywhere in the Eastern United States. My horses go back and
forth from Pennsylvania to South Carolina.
Keep up the good work, my good man, and stay safe.
With warmest regards and best wishes for your growing success

Hello,
We are coming from Switzerland and don't speak English very well, sorry.
We are using the Pat Parelli's system.
We have already seen your movies, we haven't understood everything, but we can understand that
when a horse is lying on the ground, he will respect us.
But what we don't understand is how you are putting your horses down and why, when he is down on
the ground, he stays on the ground and don't try to move ?
We have got a young stallion, who doesn't respect us, he's always trying to pinch us, not dangerously or
aggressively, but he always tries to play with us.
Are you gonna translate your DVD in french ? We would be very interested...
Switzerland is a nice country to go on holiday, we have got wonderful mountains, don't you want to
come to see us and to eat cheese and chocolate ?

Hi Paul
Just want to comment that I love your work - I teach at a metropolitan TAFE in Melbourne and we have
about 100 students a year - all of them get to see your you tube videos as part of "Safe Horse
Handling" and "OH & S" (laughs)
Nothing I say is new to you I am sure - I am very impressed with your skill and technique. I'm another
one sick of the NH bulls#$*
I remember working at Equitana in Brisbane a few years ago and wondering who the line of 10 cash
registers was for - nothing else - no sings no pictures - then Mr Monty Roberts came out and those 10
cash registers rang for the entire three days - sorta put me off a little.
I am eagerly awaiting your TAP video and will buy a copy as soon as it is available. I have worked
horses for years, retraining TBs for competition horses is one of my pleasures, giving these guys a
second chance. But I have a new challenge - a warmblood gelding German bred - vey smart, very quick
and very athletic - too smart for me (laughs) He threw himself around on the lead one day and ended up
on the ground - lay there for a second giving me a look of bewilderment, then got up with his head low
and walked calmly and quietly beside me - Aha - I thought I need to do this again but with me in control.
Then I saw you work with the chestnut and get it down with the TAP - that is exactly what I need.
Prior to seeing this I was thinking of going up to one of the guys like Heath Harris or the guys who teach
trick work to try an pick up some skills to get them down, but your way make s a lot of sense. The
horse gives in like I have never seen before - it just bows to the pressure...........wow
You know these warmbloods are a challenge - they have short memories. You often have to do stuff
over and over again.I do find the TBs a little more intelligent, sometimes they can be too intelligent lol.
Anyway I would love to write an article on you - I do some work for a website here in Australia
Let me know when your videos are coming out and I can line up an interview that will tie in with the
release. I also think we need to get you out here for Equitana. Probably too late for this year but
definitely for the next one. Keep up the good work
...............................................................................................................................
I run into problems with my clients' horses regularly. I have clients who have tried Parelli, Lyons, holistic
practitioners, dietary changes, homeopathy, Reikki, natural barefoot trimming, Chi machines,
massage, psychics, reserpine, fluphenazine, calm & cool, clicker training, round penning or free
lunging to exhaustion, and, my personal favorite, animal communicators (~$100/consultation - I gotta
reconsider my career choice!). Nonetheless, their horses do not like them. I show up on the farm, stab
the horse with needles, maybe crank its mouth open with a dental speculum, squeeze its toes with hoof
testers and shove objects up its nose, and when I'm finished the horse sidles over to me for
reassurance and affection, turning away from its owner. That's kinda wrong!
....................................................................................................................................
Hey , Big fan . Come over here and kick butt. When I was young (long time ago) my grand dad had a
draft mule colt that was out of control - really beating the crap out of every one . Gramma said " shoot
him befor he kills someone " Worried she'd go out and shoot him herself , grand dad asked a old
time horse breaker over to give him a figure on how much and , how long to gentle him. The guy got
some ropes ?-I think, out of his truck and wam-bam that mule was on the ground. It was kinda brutal .
Your TAP is a much gentler way. By the way , that mule got up a whole different feller , ended up being
a big pet.
.......................................................................................................................................................................................
Your methods are truly amazing! I am 23 years old and I have been riding for 20 years and have never
seen anyone communicate with a horse as effectively as you. I have been waiting on your TAP DVD
ever since I first saw your videos. We start approximately 50 Tennessee Walking Horses a year and I
think your method would be very beneficial to our training program. We also get problem horses quite
often and I will do whatever it takes to make thier lives easier. Most people around here think a 2x4 is
the best way to get a horse to do what they want, but I am on a mission to change that belief. My
question is, how much are the DVDs and how can I get one asap? Keep up the great work!
........................................................................................................................................
hi my name is Tim from hertfordshire, england and train people and horses with all kinds of problems,
and have been teaching for some twenty years and have always looked to improve my natural
horsemanship methods and at 37 need to make it a little safer as im not getting any younger, i to
believe in riding through many issues to get the message through and that was how i was trained
however watching the way you work with this tap method reduces the risk to horse and myself and i
need to desperatly learn your technique can you please help.
........................................................................................................................................
I want to see the show down. You'll surely prevail. I love you coining the term hybrid-horsemenship.
I wish you were in the U.S. I would love to come see you in action a learn some things. I like your style.
These negative people who comment on your videos no nothing about what you are doing. They state
the obvious and are not paying to what the video is about. As I am sure you know, your confidence is
your best asset and these horses look to you for survival. It shows right through the computer screen.
It's simply amazing. I get Chills and tears when I see these horse give it all to you.
I have been training thoroughbred race horses for 10 years and have been a licensed trainer, racing
horses for the last 2 1/2 in Maryland US. I was a city boy like you and my father was a teacher. I relate
to your story as I am from the city and self taught. My father was a school teacher and my family has no
background with horses.
I have my training methods which differ from others around here and I think outside of the box and am
always looking for a better way as long as it's safe and effective for the horse. I base my training on
nutrition, science and actual racing strategy. These trainers around here spin their horses once or twice
around the track for 3 months and start racing them fit. It's rediculous and ignorant. So all this said, I
totally support what you are doing and I think all horsemen should see your DVD when you finish it. I will
buy a copy for sure.
..........................................................................................................................................
Yeah I'd love to see you methods on the Road tour! You'd give Parrelli and them a run for their $!
Thanks for posting the videos on utube. I have a yearling filly and I work with her a lot on ground work.
Hope you get your chance to show the world your stuff!

I've been an avid viewer of Paul's videos (which he so graciously shares with us!) since he hit the web.
I find it very refreshing that a trainer is willing to share information- not only in the form of videos, but in
taking the time to answer any questions asked of him. Far too often, asking why a certain excersize is
done is treated as a ridiculous question. To top it all off, it is quite obvious that he cares deeply for his
horses.
starting competition.
Thank you for your consideration,
..........................................................................................................................................
An asset to any colt starting competition not just due to his skill, his particular style of hybrid
horsemanship, but also the combination of sensitivity and trust he uses to ensure the long term mental
health of the horse. This combination I find is incredibly unique, particularly in the racing industry in
which he operates, and I feel it would be a wonderful display on your world stage.
I would sincerely like to see him have the opportunity to display his skills and compete against starters
from other disciplines.
Yours sincerely

Hello,
I am in the United States, and have had the privilage of training with some of the top/olympic
trainers/riders in the country, and in Germany. I was introduced to Paul via a frined in North Carolina...I
must say I was amazed, impressed, and completely intrigued. Simple, but VERY effective, and the
"Patience of Job". I would consider Paul to be more than qualified to compete against Parelli,
Anderson, Cox and Cameron anyday, and I'll put my money (and my colts) in his hands.
Sincerely,
Cindy Cash

feel free to contact me, if you would like me to elaborate more.
Thank you.

Paul-
I have watched alot of your videos online and I went to your site. You are doing awesome work! It is
nice to see someone who is still willing to take the time with the horse instead of just making it a fast fix
with a nasty bit or tying them down. I would be interested in that video your making for TAP and colt
starting, let me know when you finish it! Keep up all the great work your doing and the best of luck in all
your horsie endeavors.

Hey Paul:P
I never thought that I would be a fan; I’m not even a fan of a band, but……..OMG………… I can see the
difference in the horse after you have done your thing “ TAP”. In the stable I ride in, I know some horses
that should have been “Tap down”. Now that it is winter, the racetrack is frozen, and we don’t really train
the horses on the track in the winter, because the track is too hard, but we do ride them every day and I
can feel that some of the horses should relax a little. They have too much energy :P but that’s ok. Let a
racehorse be a racehorse :P, I just got a little carried away with my babbling. The point is, do you
teach? I’m afraid if I just try to do what you’re doing, I will hurt the horse, so I’m not touching a horse until
I know what I’m doing. But you do it in such elegant way, and the horse doesn’t seem to be bothered,
you really do help the horse:D, and I also want to help horses, well not just help them, but get really get
god in riding inn young horses. My English isn’t good, but what I’m trying to say is, (you ride in a horse
that has never had a saddle on before, or a person) I want to be good at that. And help horses with
problems. So it would be very nice if maybe I can take some lessons, or you make a good film that
explain exactly what you’re doing, every step. I don’t really expect that a busy man like you would do
this, but hey;) why not ask.
I’m from Norway, and in Norway we only have one racetrack. It’s called Øvrevoll Galoppane. :D it not
big, but I love the place. If I could, I would have worked there my whole life, and I think I will be working
there full time, when I come to that part of my life, or maybe I will travel to a an another country where the
racing is much more popular. Now I ride in the weekends and in the afternoons, but I’m not done with
school jet, so that’s why I can’t be there full time.
When I met Monty Robert’s he also had a method to help a horse, but his gotten to popular, it doesn’t
feel like he does this just for helping horses any more. But hi is a great man, and he knows what he is
doing. But I think you do it better because you’re a jockey, and you understand racehorses. I want
horses to really want to be with me, and that they know that if I could I would help them.
I really love your work, and I think it’s a good way to handle a horse, maybe I’m wrong, maybe it’s true,
but you really make a difference.
I want to learn.

I would love to see the showdown between the NH v's NR!
I can't wait!!!!
Let's do it!!
If anyone can Endo-can!!

To Whom It May Concern:
Enlightening, entertaining, unusual, exciting, great riding and great horsemanship, are just a few of the
words that describe 'Endospink'. You and your audience will have something they will enjoy and talk
about long after Paul's colt starting demonstration has ended. It would not be surprising if this 'unknown'
trainer finished on top of the well known trainers. Paul also appeals to a wider audience than
conventional colt starting methods. Give 'Endospink' the opportunity and you will not be disappointed in
your choice.
Thank You,

Hello!
I really want to see Endo at RTTH 2009! I live in Ohio and I've also never seen RTTH, but if he
participated I would definitely go down to Tennessee to see him win it! I've never been so impressed
with any method of training before, and likewise, never seen the kinds of results that he gets with
seemingly little effort. WOO ENDO 2009!!

Paul,
If you are invited to participate in Road to the Horse, I will buy tickets and attend.
I have an email community of over 1000 subscribers plus many other contacts, and I will promote the
event to them also.
You're the first truly new and original horse trainer to come along in a very long time!
You're a horseman, an athlete, a comedian, a humanitarian, a scientist and an artist!
.............................................................................................................
Ahhh, the stuff legends are made of !!I train pacers and also try and get away from the “crowd”
mentalityEasy to see you making a huge impression on the world of horses, and all the people involved
in it.Bloody marvelous stuff, and when your video is released I will be lining up for a copy
..............................................................................................................
Ohhhh, I laughed so hard!!!I'm old enough that I grew up without Parelli, Lyons, and the rest of them.
OMG, I actually had to ride - we didn't have round pens either!
Somebody brought me a cute quarter mare, and a bullet. This mare had learned a really cool rearing
trick: she would rear up then bolt straight down. She only came to me after she had perfected the trick
to where she actually broke bits. Curbs, snaffles, even a Mickmar thingie - just flat out busted the bits.
Once she had broke the bit, she lit out like a bat our of blazes. I would have considered trashy bits - did
in fact. Then a buddy of mine brought me three of his bits, one broke at the shank, one across the
tongue well, and a snaffle broken half way between the centre joint and the ring - and this guy was a
world champion bronc rider. He brought the bits over to discourage me from riding the mare.
Not quite Monty, John or Pat, but we didn't have them then. Guess ignorance really is bliss.
..................................................................................................................
I have been watching your video's and would like to commend you on your being a "real" horseman. I
have tried the NH with my 17 hand Selle Francais gelding (French TB) and have gotten nowhere. I wish
you were here in the US and would travel to help people with their problem horses. Sometimes people
don't have months or years to do the NH and HOPE that it works. All of this is done on the ground
anyway, and then when you are in the saddle-then what? Anyway, I would like to know if you are
making any video's to help people with such things as loading a horse (mine rears) and kicks the door
down before we can shut it. Are you going to make any video's for sale at all?? I would be very
interested. Yes! Please do. You didn't answer me about coming to the US-any thoughts on that? I think
that you are amazing and would love to meet you someday. I think that anyone that can do what you can
do should be flying around saving people and horses a lot of time, money and heartbreak. Thanks a
lot....
...................................................................................................................
"Hybrid Horsemanship" - aaaaah yes FINALLY found someone who actually "gets it"..... LOVE IT - I
watch with baited breath for the next installment! mind if i coin that term for my website??? (and can't
wait for the DVD!) being EX-Parelli (LOOONG story) and for want of a better term - we have always
called it "natural horse handling" - just meaning "pure horse psychology" and 'without extraneous
equipment'........ and with NO anthropomorphising!!! my pet hate....keep up the good work!
one day when (if) i grow up i want to be you (but pink ain't my colour...) Enjoyed your vids.So many
methods these days Parelli, Monty,Mark Rashid all much the same. You clearly get a tune out of yours.
The folk that triumph NH now seem to be more interested in making money & flogging DVD's, savvy
sticks, head collars I find it most irritating.
Horsesmouth351 is talking out of his backside, If you go to a Parelli show its all the same stuff &
behind the scenes the horses are already prepped would LOVE to see the guy try a real green horse
now that WOULD be interesting. Endo keep up the good work
..........................................................................................................................
I (like you I think) am so tired of listening to the (usually unasked for advice of these kool aid drinking
natural horsemanship groupies.)Most of their problems with their horse could be solved if they rode
their horse to work a couple of days a week (IMHO) but the groupies never seem to make it out of the
pen/ring/arena.
............................................................................................................................
Entertaining videos, and while there are some things I might've personally handled differently, I don't
have any problem with the way you get things done. (Not that you would care anyway, right?) But
anyway...I happen to fall into the classification of "natural horsemanship" trainer (and I happen to work
with a lot of off track thoroughbreds, since I train out of a TB layup farm). Between you and me, the
name "natural horsemanship" is completely misleading and STUPID. But I digress. While I absolutely
agree that Parelli, Lyons, Clinton Anderson and the like are just out to make a buck, I think it would be
wise not to bash the entire idea. Apparently you've never seen anyone like Buck Brannaman, Ray Hunt,
Bill or Tom Dorrance, or Leslie Desmond work with horses...they are, in my book, some of the finest
horsemen on the planet.
I would also like to add that the fixation people develop with groundwork and the roundpen is not
entirely a bad thing: firstly, I absolutely believe that you CAN solve most issues from the ground, or at
least figure out what exactly is causing the issue and therefore better understand how to fix it, and I
don't believe approaching it this way takes any longer than hopping on and muscling through; and
secondly, the general public following NH principles to train their own horses probably aren't good
enough riders to RIDE the issue from the saddle, let alone solve it from there.
So. I just get a little irritated with the "NH" misconceptions. And felt the need to say something. Maybe
it's because I'm really tired of idiots hearing that I'm an "NH" trainer and going, "OH, so you just do
groundwork, right???"
On an entirely separate note, I am insanely jealous that you can launch yourself a-horseback with that
little flying-wallanda leap. Oh well...my horses all learn to pick me up off the fence anyway.
Thanks for listening, best of luck, and keep the hoof side down...

Me, I love a challenge. Took the mare, tossed the bullet. Rode her around for a couple weeks - nice
mare, quiet, soft mouth, easy gaits, steady. Then one night, riding with my brother, this mare went up,
started running on her hind legs, then bogged down. Rather than even try holding the reins, I let the right
rein go, spurred her hard on the right side and kept booting her til she started running. She was so
frosted off about not busting the bit that she bolted into a bush - a really BIG bush, like about 12
feet deep and over our heads high - and reared up again. I figured the bush was as good as we were
going to get so, when she hit the top of her rear, I pulled her over backwards, stepped off and let her
drop. She thrashed around a bit then started to get up, so I came up with her. At which point she reared
again, so I pulled her over again, stepped off and generally made her life ugly before I let her up, and
again, came up with her. About the 5th or 6th rear, she was getting up slower and slower - and,
oh dear, was she ever sweaty (and dare I say, blowing?). Finally, she just didn't bother to get up. So I
sat on her while she was down and booted her up. We stepped out of the bush, nice and quiet. My poor
brother - all he saw was the bush exploding, horse bellowing at me, me bellowing back. And there
wasn't much left of that bush. But the silly mare never, ever reared again. Not quite Monty, John or Pat,
but we didn't have them then. Guess ignorance really is bliss.

My school friend used to work in a zoo called Korkeasaari here in Finland. She told me today about an
incident that happened there between Przewalski horse mares who live together in a bigger herd. The
16-years old mare called Medina foaled one spring and thought that her position in the herd was rising,
but the oldest mare called Anulka, who's almost 30-years old, decided to put Medina back on her
place. She hunted Medina down, and bit her on the knees so that she had to fall. Anulka pushed her
over and sat on her. And kept sitting there until the younger mare understood who was the boss. Then
Anulka let her get back on her feet and the fight was over. Anulka was and still is, the only queen of
Korkeasaari's Przewalski herd. :)

A few years back I was out on a hack (ride on the road a lot here) anyway someone had fixed there
stone wall, and to stop it getting wet while the concrete was drying they put a big blue tarp over it!! Now
my horse saw it and said no f**ing way! He spun to face home, I turned him back just to have him rear
landing the toward the way home again, sat there for a sec and finally thought well if he needs to face
that way fine he can but I'm still going the way I want so I backed him past the tarp, no way was I
going to ride all the way home to play on the ground! That and he was fine with tarps at home, would
walk over them and past them, but this one he decided was different!Keep u p the good work,
horsemanship is being able to think your way through problems!

I would be very
interested.
..................................................................................................................................
I have to say….wow….. Okay, now I defiantly would like to see a colt starting show-down with you and
some of the other clinicians…I bought my first horse a little over two years ago. Mind you that I had
ZERO prior horse experience. After thinking on many occasions that the horse was going to kill me, I
bought the Parelli program in the hopes that I could train him myself. I learned a lot from the program,
however, if you have no prior experience with horses, their program cannot and will not help you
overcome your fear of being bucked off or trampled to death!! Instead, it can easily give you a crutch to
hang on to and 1 million excuses to use so you never have to actually get on your horse.
I also learned rather quickly that hours of round pen work did nothing to help me gain respect from my
horse. The round pen doesn’t earn the respect of your horse…You DO on his BACK! And unless you
carry a portable round pen tied to your saddle, you better have a plan B for the day your horse dumps
you on your rump in the middle of no where!
Don’t get me wrong, I still watch my monthly DVD’s and the program has taught me many valuable
things. I still use the “games” on an every day basis to communicate to my horse. However, the more I
learn about horses and different training techniques; the more I realize that I probably could have gotten
the same results without dealing with half of the mind games I played with myself or my horse!!
I still whole heartedly believe in any horsemanship “program” or “technique” that maintains the dignity of
both the horse and the rider. I believe that beating a horse into submission is NOT the answer BUT
being afraid to be firm with your horse when he is displaying ill behaviors will only eventually get you
hurt. This is a lesson that I learned first hand. Horses want a leader and you either lead or get dragged
behind them while they make their way to the feed bucket!!
The most valuable education I ever got is the one I have gotten from my horse, and it came the day that
I finally decided to stop
being afraid and to just get on and ride!!

ello Guv'na,
Jeesh.. has it already been a year since I successfully Tapped my mare.
Had it not been for you I never would've gotten Bella over her "Oh No Don't Touch Me There Spot!" I'm
proud to report Bella still has the "cleanest teets in town" (hee hee). I was so nervous about Tapping
her since I was a complete greenie and she was a stubborn to Tap. You're right when you say those
older horses can be set in their ways and once they have their front feet planted far apart they are in it
for the long haul. Good thing your videos gave precise instructions or I'da never been able to tap
her. It really was like a slow motion dream, when she went down. She lifted her head and I gently
pushed it back down. Bella just laid there and moaned, when I rubbed her all over her body. Those
moans weren't from pain, but like the moans we make when getting a nice massage. It felt like I was in
a dream because I never expected to actually be successful Tapping her. I didn't think I had enough
horse experience for this technique, but I had to try sumthing. Crusty filthy nasty teets are not a good
thing !I knelt over Bella stroking and rubbing her.. of course my chin was quivering and I was crying like
a baby. You know I love Bella with a passion and it just felt incredible to be so close with her. I was a
little nervous when I first started touching her sensitive spot.In the past she kicked sumthin' awful, when
she felt my hand approach her teets.I swear she even growled a time or two. After "spooning" with her
(hee hee), I quickly went to work on her teets. There I was crouched down by her back legs. Good thing
the neighbors weren't watching or they'd thought I was scrubbing to prepare her for intricate surgery. I
sure wished I'da had a tooth brush.. dang, those teets where filthy.During this whole desensitizing
episode, Bella never did move a muscle. After a couple minutes I thought, "Hmmm.. now what am I
gonna do with you?"I had a problem riding her bareback because she always wanted to take off with
me.Since she was so relaxed I thought I'd sit on her, like I saw you do in your videos. Then I grabbed the
reins and smooched to her. Bella's head came up and the rest of her body followed. It was the most
amazing feeling sitting on her, while she was laying down and then rising with her. I know that doesn't
sound like a big deal, but it was to me.I gave a little forward thrust with me hips and off she walked
quietly. I thought it was a fluke and at any moment she'd try to trot off with me, like always. Bella never
did.. we walked around the arena for several minutes, she was so calm.Do you remember the email I
sent you? "I TAPPED HER.. I TAPPED HER.. I TAPPED HER!"I don't know who was more excited me
or you.We all have experiences in our lives that we will never forget and this definitely tops my list.
Thank you for giving me the tool that allowed me to have this incredible experience with my horse.
Tell the family I said "hey"
Denise

Right I have watched all your videos ( and yeah I know I have way too much time on my hands! haha )
and can see what you do and would like to understand more about it. Could you reply just giving me
more information on your general out look on horses and how you came about your methods.
Just stuff like that please. If you don't mind....
Anyway I'm interested in in alternative methods of training etc...and look and Parelli and Monty Roberts
as well as many others. Please don't assume that I follow them as a guide as I work out problems of my
own with my horses in whatever way I feel is best for them. I feel that most alternative method however
seem to just have the attitude that you can gain respect by teaching the horse circus tricks! For
example standing on a platform. I do not disrespect other methods of training but do feel I don't
have to follow them! Haha
Well if you would be kind enough to give me more fo an idea of your work that would be great.
Bloody hell I have gone on and on so will stop now.
.............................................................................................................................................
All of your videos are informative, easy to comprehend and enjoyable. You very wonderfully blend
humor, direction, education, and wit in a warm hearted, and endearing way. TY for showing people
willing to open their eyes that N/H is not all that and a box of chocolates that one needs a bit of
common sense and old school approach to things when dealing with over a 1000#
mad as h*ll beast which has gotten some one else's number more times then is not the case.. Horses
are prey animals you show people that you don;t need to be brutal just stern and out think them using
their fear of being vulnerable to your best advantage all the while letting the animal realize on it's own
that you have not harmed it just demanded it do as you asked...Ask first, then Suggest, then Demand...
BRAVO to a fellow Horseman It is my pleasure to post comments of praise to your
abilities and wisdom..
..................................................................................................................................................
Hi Paul,
Yeah I can see your approach now. And its makes sense. I'm glad you don't try to fight against the
horse as thats pointless mainly because it will achieve nothing but a few broken bones (on yourself)
due to the fact the horse is a big animal! N/H I think can be better for horses who can not stand
confrontation but I agree that it does not work for evey horse because of different characters.
Are you planning on staying in Japan? Is there alot of interest in your work out there? I can imagine that
your methods would do well in America as they tend to jump on the band wagon for everything new! no
offence if your American though! lol
........................................................................................................................................................
will you ever come and visit us in the US...we have some symposiums...like the "equine affaire" (it's a
traveling .....venue.... where an equestrian can purchase stuff...see riders, trainers, demos of musical
drill teams....see trailers for sale...and even barn builders etc.... anything related to horses..) the thing is
really big and takes place in multiple buildings...so that horses can be seen in an indoor colluseum/
arena at one spot....and in another...you could get a corn dog and buy a sweater with a terrier
on it...... would you come to something like that???? (it happens in the winter when people think about
spring riding here in New England)...you would be a huge hit !!!!......monty is coming this november...I
can give him a message from you if you want......... :)
..........................................................................................................................................................
endo....I've watched most of your stuff.....you're a really gifted equand humor to the mix and it becomes
irresistable. I've given the "heads up" to many of my friends to check out your stuff..... I
can hardly wait to see what you'll encounter next. and I read your comments...you're so right there is
nothing like a little intuition and exposure along with a bunch of just "doing it" rather than reading up
what the latest "horse guru" has to say :) please keep up the great work (of the videos) ...I know there's
no stopping you with the horses :)
...........................................................................................................................................................
You're doing amazing job with horses. I've been in N/H courses but none of them verses your natural
ridership.. :)
...........................................................................................................................................................
NH is constantly being shoved down my throat, and if you don't do it that way your often ostercized!
When I watched your videos, I thought, "Yes that's it!" A combination of a few different approaches. I
also loved the videos, they entertained me, educated me, and informed me that there IS another way!
I've been so negative lately with these NH people around me "telling what not to do and to do", "giving
opinions unsolicited", now.. where's the DVD??? Keep the videos coming!! You have truely
touched my day in a positive way!!!
........................................................................................................................................
You are an absolutely AWESOME trainer and the people who say otherwise can just shut their trap. I'm
starting a little Haflinger filly right now and she is doing great! I haven't been on her just yet, but I have
put a saddle on and everything. She is still too young to ride though. But I also bonded with her, lol. I'm
definitely not up to your level quite yet, but I've got my own horse that I do hunter'jumper on. But
ANYWAY, I just wanted to say you are absolutely awesome. lol I think I may hear an echo. Well, have a
good day. :P
..........................................................................................................................................
hi i saw your training videos and were amazed i believe in your methods where i come from its all ways
important to make sure the horse knows whos boss and not by hurting them by the way there is no way
a person could hurt a horse just by kicking them in the thigh most people dont think about it but horses
kick other horses all the time and it doesnt hurt them and horses are ten times as strong then we are i
was wondering could you tell me some tips on breaking horses i break horses and some times it
is a long battle could you give me some tips on how to make it easier and what is a guru i saw you
talking about it but i dont know what is. Any advice would be
great!!!!..........................................................................................................................................
Im sure Im not the first to say this, but your videos are GREAT.......
Where are you local...... Id love to come and see you work.
..........................................................................................................................................
Hi, i love your videos. They way you work with the horses and make them better so quick. Its great. :)
..........................................................................................................................................
Man, these videos TOTALLY rock! Please tell the exercise rider that he could get on ANY horse I own...
I've got 12 years experience as a racing groom, and riders like him are RARE. The Rocketman video
is what I will now use to explain to non-riders why I love to ride.Wish he could get on my new gelding,
who is a puzzle!Oh - and applause for the way he swung up on that horse too
..........................................................................................................................................
Hiya.
I am absolutely fascinated by your move called the "tap". Never seen it done before and it is genius.
Out of interest, how does it work? (Don't worry, I won't go and try it out on one of my horses. I'm not like
some people who watch one video and think they are now a master of it!)Some of the critics are being
a bit hard on you. I checked out their profiles and their all into this parelli. Effective I'm sure but I'd
like to see them try it on an unbroken TB colt. Lol!..Anyway, I think you're great so don't listen to them.
Thanks

Hi Endo,
You have great natural ability with horses (I am sure you know that haha) Just thought you might like to
know of another one of your fans. I train horses mainly for liberty and tricks, for promotion work. Let me
know when you your video comes out as I am very interested in your Tap method.

Hi Endo
Having surfed through youtube I came across your amazing home videos. All I can say is WOW lol. It's
great to find a true horseman that go's into the mind of the animal instead of using Bully boy tactics
which agrivates any problems furthur!I like the way you 'work with' the horse, rather than bully it!
I myself have worked in Racing here in the UK for 25yrs and adore TB's! I also work with Rehabilitation
cases and 'problem' horses! I always put myself in the horses situation before tackling anything!
So many horses can be rehomed that would have been thought of as 'physco' once they have had the
same training/understanding that you give them!Congratulations on being such a fantastic person!
..........................................................................................................................................
ive been watching your vids for sometime now,and WOW you have an amazing gift..... you should be
cloned :) you really need to start to teach your ways caus as you know there is far to much ignorance
and brut force used on these amazing fragile horses....keep up the fantastic work and vids you do, the
world is a better place with people like you,on a different subject i noticed that youve fav'd an opera
singer, if you'd like to check out a vid on here (britains got talent-connie)shes a 6yr old girl
with the most amazing voice, she sings somewhere over the rainbow and even really impresses mr
nasty himself:) no mean feat:)anywaytoodlepip:)
..........................................................................................................................................
Hey, I've been watching some of your videos and they are really good. I work at a race track too but I
don't do track work, I can do it but I am an eventer rider through and through. That indoor track your are
on in the videos, is that in Japan? Also, is it the camera angle or does the track go uphill? I am just
really interested in these indoor tracks, I've never seen them before. Do many horses get injured on it?
On our track, often horses go through the running rail or breakdown. One colt broke his shoulder
last week. The horses just seem more willing to go in a straight line on the indoor
track...........................................................................................................................................
I was sent your video from a frien, you are a wonderful horseman...and a fabulous trainer. your horses
respect you and do not show fear. you are consistant, calm, and kind, but know when to correct, and
what impresses me most is your way of communicating to those young colts. I would love to meet
you/watch you ride/ attend a clinic of yours! When is the dvd coming out?
Thanks for knowing your
stuff!!!..........................................................................................................................................
Hi there Endo
I have just discovered your videos on youtube and enjoyed every minute of them. It was great to see
someone so confident dealing with these beautiful animals. I was supposed to be starting writing an
assignment today however I found your videos much more interesting!I am a bit confused about where
you are based - from the info on youtube it seems that you are somewhere in Japan? It certainly seems
like a good set up - wherever you are. I guess that the yard is a racing stables and you are employed
as a
track rider/jockey - not sure if you do more than ride to train - would be interested to find out.
I see from the info on youtube you are from Oz - I visited there in 2005 and was lucky enough to have a
visit to Lindsey Park Racing Yard - it was amazing - something I hold onto the memories of. ell -
assignment looms so I guess I better get on - look forward to seeing more of your videos. If you ever
fancy riding hell for leather over the hills in Scotland give me a shout. I am from the Scottish Borders
and every summer we have the Common Ridings of each of the border towns - historically these
rides were ridden to check the boundaries for cattle/sheep rustlers however not any more - just for fun.
On average there are about 150-200 horses ride at one time - it's quite a sight and even more of an
experience. Maybe I'll post some video footage of me doing it on my horse Buster on youtube!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for your videos so far and I look forward to seeing more.

I run a large TB rescue/rehab in Washington USA. I have to tell you those are the funniest videos I have
ever seen! I put them up on our website! Keep it up. Killer riding!
..........................................................................................................................................
I've been watching your videos and you are so knowledgeable. The videos are great. I hope you come
out with your own video we can buy to learn from. I'm sure you get swamped with emails for help, so
please forgive me. I'm wondering how you deal with horses that try to nip or bite you
........................................................................................................................................
Hi Endo (Paul?),
My name is Karen and I'm writing from Maryland, USA. I'm late to the Endo party, but have been very
moved by your videos. Only had time to watch about half, but look forward to the rest (not only the music
rings in my head!).My short story (by way of introduction and in hopes of establishing some street
cred): Ridng since a pre-teen, hunters, equitation, eventing, (good) dressage (not the crap one sees in
a lot of competitions), worked at the race track (walking hots and later grooming) and totally understand
what you are doing with the bloodstock, though I'd love to talk some time about some "hows" of your
methods. Have owned my own farm and taught riding for a living for...too long, LOL. Going on 25 years
at this location. Oh, lord, I DETEST the N/H b.s. I can't tell you how much! Anyway, I get where you're
coming from 100%.My question for now is where you got the cool Earth graphics for the intro to your
"Tour" video. Doesn't look like the Google Earth stuff I've seen. I just joined You Tube specifically to
send you this message <G>. Having said that, I only saw your first video about a week ago and I've
been thinking of them ever since (brilliant work, especially with the rearer). Frankly, I tend to
do my own thing, studiously staying away from "horse people", since they tend to waste my time and
drive me nuts with the latest fashion. I have a feeling that you don't get swayed by them, either...
Anyway, thanks for the great vids and hope to hear from you if you have a minute. Sorry this is so long!
